Strummer's

Located in the heart of Fresno’s vibrant Tower District, Strummer’s is a cornerstone of the local arts scene. Originally known as the Starline, the venue was rebranded in honor of Joe Strummer, the legendary frontman of The Clash. The room is celebrated for its intimate, high-energy atmosphere, offering a close-up stage and crisp sound that fosters a personal connection between performers and the crowd. As a fixture of the Tower Arts District, it captures the eclectic and welcoming spirit of its historic neighborhood. While widely recognized for live music, Strummer’s has also established itself as a premier destination for stand-up comedy. The venue hosts a diverse range of talent, from nationally touring headliners like Dustin Nickerson and Steve Hofstetter to rising local stars during its "Comedy Calling" showcases. Whether spotlighting storytelling comics or crowd-work pros, Strummer’s provides an authentic, raw setting for comedy fans seeking a big-show experience in a neighborhood environment.
